What every WW II soldier had...his rifle and his hat. This 1940s carved wood pin is an unusual figural of those two military items issued to the fighting men.
The wood rifle has a brass metal barrel. The hat has an emblem on the front with a brass stud in the center.
Together, the rifle and hat measure 4 1/4 inches long by 2 3/8 inches high. The back of the rifle has a two-piece imbedded pin with a secure rollover clasp. This rare WWII era pin is in excellent vintage condition. This pin was the kind of patriotic 'sweetheart jewelry' sent to the women holding down the home front.
