This old cloisonné enamel thimble comes from China so we call it a 'Chinble'. It's enameled on 800 silver with Chinese characters... symbols that represent happiness, good fortune and longevity.
The thimble measures 16mm across the opening. It's 25mm high (1 7/8 inches) There's gold vermeil on the inside and on top. The enamel colors are turquoise, cobalt blue and green... these colors were common in the 1900s to 1920s when Chinese exports were very popular.
The Chinble thimble is in excellent vintage condition...we've left the old patina unpolished for buyer to decide.
