Years ago when people traveled to Egypt, the trip was commemorated with the purchase of a souvenir pendant like this one. Made of solid sterling silver, the pendant featured Egyptian symbols that had some meaning for the buyer...a name, a place, something that captured the mystique of Egyptian hieroglyphics.
We don't know what this says but the symbols include birds which are universally a symbol of freedom.
The pendant measures 1/2 inch across by 2 inches high with bail. It hangs from a very nice sterling silver link chain that's 20 inches around with a secure spring ring clasp. The necklace weighs 10.3 grams. It's been tested for sterling on both pendant and chain. Excellent vintage condition. We leave any further polishing to buyer. c1970s.
