This vintage sterling silver butterfly ring was bought at a Bell Trading Post in the Southwest. Bell Trading started in Albuquerque New Mexico in 1932. They sold Native American Indian jewelry at various tourist locations in the Southwestern United States until 1972.
This pretty butterfly ring is expertly inlaid with genuine turquoise, red coral, black and white onyx. The inside band of the ring is marked with the 1961 Bell Trading hallmark...an arrow holding the bell sign. It also says STERLING. The back of the butterfly is also marked BELL STERLING.
The ring size is 7.5. The top of the ring (the butterfly) measures 5/8 inch across by 3/4 inch high. Ring weighs 4 grams. It's in excellent vintage condition with unpolished patina.
