There's great detail and color in this old ethnic Persian ring, handwrought of sterling silver. The top is squared with five sawtooth bezel set genuine stones. There's amethyst in the center and turquoise, both natural and unpolished. There are two natural corals and a green onyx stone which all seem to be polished.
The ring shows a lot of intricate work, made by an artisan who signed the piece. As best as we could decipher the markings (shown both ways since we're not sure which way is 'up'), this was made in Persia (now Iran). There are raised beads, wire work and more detailing all around the ring. It has an open back so there's some flex in the size which is 8 as shown. The top measures 7/8 by 7/8 inch. The ring weighs 9.2 grams. Acid-tested for sterling.
The ring is in excellent vintage condition. Circa 1930.
