'Kenocker' is not the name of a jewelry maker. It's our word to describe these fantastic vintage clip-back earrings. Back in the old neighborhood (Brooklyn N.Y.), a 'kenocker' was a big shot...the stand-out guy who thought he was something special. Well, these earrings ARE something special with a stand-out design that could only be categorized as 'kenocker'.
A gold-tone coil does a figure eight wrap around two glass beads in cobalt blue and white. The earrings measure 1 1/4 by 1 1/2 inches. They're about 3/4 inch deep which gives them an all-around voluminous chunkiness. They're no lightweights...EACH earring weighs 26 grams! In spite of the weight, they're quite comfortable with foam pads (replaceable) and a secure hold.
These are so interesting, they can be clipped onto a gold chain, the neckline of a dress, shoes...anything that can be made more exciting by a couple of kenockers. Incredibly, these are unsigned, circa 1980s. Excellent vintage condition.
