This is a 1940s solid Lucite pin of tongs holding a square block of ice. The ice cube rotates.
The pin measures 2 1/2 inches high by 1 3/4 inches across the tongs. It's 3/4 inch thick at the cube.
This pin is featured in the book "Plastic Jewelry" by Lyngerda Kelley and Nancy Schiffer, page 127.
The top of the pin looks slightly yellowish in photo which is caused by the adhesive that holds the ~C~ clasp to the Lucite, along with two rivets. In person, this is barely noticeable but is exaggerated in photo. Pin is in excellent vintage condition. The cube has no nicks or scratches and it hasn't begun to melt at all. A very collectible early Lucite figural pin.
