Everyone knows the universal symbol of Freemasonry...the Square and Compasses with the letter ~G~. It's engraved on the front of this Victorian locket pendant and the square and compass are jeweled with glass rhinestones. The locket is gold-plate on brass.
The top of the locket has a decorative Victorian bail for a chain. Inside, there are two squares for photos.
The locket measures 1 1/8 inches across by 1 3/8 inches high. It closes with a secure snap. There's slight age-appropriate wear to the gilt around the edges and the locket has not been polished to preserve the antique patina. Overall, this early Masonic jewel is in very good antique condition. Circa 1890.
