It looks so good, it's hard to believe those big chunky butterscotch beads are not real amber...or Bakelite. They easily pass for either.
This vintage ethnic necklace was part of the Bohemian style circa 1960s/70s. It's still going strong and this necklace delivers it in a bold way.
The necklace measures 27 inches. The large center bead is 45mm wide. Smaller chunky butterscotch beads alternate with molded silver-tone melon ball and disk beads and more round beads are studded with small turquoise and coral colored beads. (Those round beads have holes in them and when you look inside, you see the bead is filled with more small beads.) Small silver-tone beads finish off the display, right up to the secure fishhook clasp. All the beads are intact. The metal is still bright and free of wear.
Overall, this necklace is in excellent vintage condition. Looked great then. Looks great now.
