This very intricate old Czech necklace was no doubt a star in its heyday...late 1920s / early 1930s. It's still a gorgeous piece but the decades have mellowed the dazzle with patina.
The Art Deco brass 'step' links, enameled with white flowers and the coral colored rings held by detailed brass leaves are age tarnished, as is the really nice chain. Other than brushing this with a damp toothbrush, we didn't want to alter the patina by attempting to polish it.
The necklace measures 16 inches around by 7/8 inch wide, ending in the original secure spring ring clasp. The coral rings appear to be made of porcelain because they do show fine little crackle lines. They may possibly be made of glass...can't be sure. There's some discoloration on the backs.
This old necklace is still in very good wearable condition...but only if you don't mind the natural patina that's evolved over many decades. We've priced this accordingly and hope it finds a happy home because this one is special.
