Here's an exquisite example of Mid-Century Scandinavian design...this 1955 silver pin by the silversmith house of Kalevala Koru, Helsinki Finland.
The round horseshoe-like shaped pin has ends of squares with four silver beads. It measures 1 inch across by 7/8 inch high. It weighs 5.4 grams. Back has the original old curled ~C~ clasp.
The pin is hallmarked...HGL for Holger Lindstrom, crown in heart mark of Finland, 813H (silver content), the longboat of Helsinki, B7 (date mark for 1955), and the KK (for Kaunis Koru, the old mark of Kalevala Koru).
Unpolished patina. Excellent condition.
