These three little Native American babies are swaddled in wool blankets, wrapped in blue ribbons and pink pom-poms. These were made in Japan in the 1930s and sold in the U.S. as souvenirs.
No doubt, these were made to look like the Skookum dolls which were very popular at the time.
These have black yarn hair, hand-painted celluloid faces (so cute!) and one is stamped JAPAN on the back of the ribbon.
These miniature dolls measure about 3 1/8 inches high. The blanket edges were not well-finished so edge may show slight fray. These are old warehouse stock...never used or played with. Excellent vintage condition.
