This antique bar pin is a beautiful old multi-tasker. Not only can it be worn at the collar as in Victorian days, but because it also has a loop attached, it can be hung from a chain as a pendant, and/or, can also be turned upside down and used to hang a watch, locket or other dangling charm. It comes in very handy as a means to display other Victorian favorites.
The pin measures 2 3/4 inches long by just over 1/2 inch wide. It's made of gilded brass with both yellow and rose gold highlights. The surface is etched with scroll work. The back has a secure curled ~C~ clasp. Pin weighs 7.3 grams.
The aged patina has not been polished but it can be to your preference. Overall, this is in very good antique condition. Circa 1890s.
