It's large and two-sided. This vintage Chinese jade pendant is overlaid with gold-tone cut-outs of birds in a nest, each tending to an opal egg. The flora behind them is accented with faux rubies and emeralds.
On the verso, is the Chinese symbol for 'Good Luck'.
The jade is a beautiful dark spinach green color with some translucence when held to light. It's in a frame of bright gold-tone with a beaded edge. The pendant measures 2 1/8 inches across. It hangs from a long gold-tone chain that measures 30 inches. The tag at the secure clasp is marked MONET. We don't think this is the original chain for the pendant but they look perfect together. The length of the chain is well-suited for the large pendant. They weigh 49 grams.
The pendant is circa 1950s. It's in excellent condition.
