We hate to overuse the word 'gorgeous' but when you look at this necklace, you just can't help yourself. It's gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. (Or as some of my old friends from Brooklyn would say...'gawjus'.)
This is old...circa 1920s/30s. This is flapper-length long...46 inches. (It's hard to find them this long.) The Venetian pink glass beads are no ordinary shade of pink. They're a life-is-good pink. They're a feeling-in-the-pink pink. They're almost lapping-at-lavender pink.
The beads are about 11mm wide and coddled between filigree caps. And they're in great company...etched gilded balls, little pink glass spacer beads, and long curvy etched leaves framed in curving gilded wires. These are all linked together...no thread to break.
The large spring ring clasp is marked GERMANY. It's silver on brass. We're not sure if it's original to the necklace but may well be.
This necklace is in excellent vintage condition with just enough patina to add warmth to the metal. The beads are intact. In a word (here we go again)...GORGEOUS!
