Call it your key to success and happiness. Call it the key to starting conversations. It's a key pin / pendant made by Kramer of New York, circa 1950s. In fact, we think this key transformer (both a pin and a pendant) may have been made circa 1953 when Princess Elizabeth was crowned as Queen of England. Everyone was royally smitten at the time. (We just heard today that Queen Elizabeth is now the longest-serving British Monarch ever. Today she broke the record of her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria, reigning for 63 years, seven months, and two days. Go Liz!)
This gold-tone key is definitely royally inclined with an insert that's embroidered with a blue and gold thread crown and scepter. It measures 1 1/2 inches across by 3 5/8 inches long. The back has both the secure rollover clasp and the pendant hook for hanging on a chain.
This pin is in excellent vintage condition. No wear to the gold-tone or the embroidery. This signed Kramer piece should have a long reign as one of your favorite jewels.
