It's got a great shape, a fantastic agate gemstone, and it can be worn as either a pin or a pendant. WALT thought of everything when he made this Modernist piece.
It's hand-hammered out of solid sterling silver. The large oval two-color stone is bezel set in the curve of the pin. (Upside down, it looks like an eye.)
At the top of the silver curve is an opening for a chain so this can be worn as a pendant. As a pin, it can be worn at any angle. It's well made.
The pin measures 3 1/2 inches long by 1 inch wide. It weighs 23 grams. The back has a secure rollover clasp and is hand-signed WALT and STERLING. Pin is in excellent condition. Circa 1970s. (We couldn't find a 'Walt' but there were several well-known Walters among the Modernist jewelry makers.)
