c1940 Deja Fleurs (Reja) Art Deco Era Alligator Fur Clip Pin
This Art Deco era coiled alligator is a hand-painted fur clip, marked DEJA FLEURS. Deja Jewelry Company was in business from 1939 to 1941 and then changed their name to REJA...both names known for unusual, high-quality, collectible jewelry.
The gator clip is silver-tone metal, hand-painted black and white, with a spine of deep-set clear crystal rhinestones. It measures 1 3/4 inches across by 1 5/8 inches high.
There's a little bit of paint loss but the stones are bright and the clip hinge is secure. This is a hard-to-find figural clip / pin in excellent vintage condition.
