Purchased over 30 years ago from the Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina, this handmade four strand choker necklace is a true tribal piece.
The necklace is handmade of long Buffalo pipe bone beads spaced with antiqued brass beads, cobalt blue glass tube beads and thick black leather strips. The ends are soft neutral tone suede leather that taper into long ties.
The necklace measures 18 inches long with some of the leather and then there's another 9 inches of tie strip at each end. The necklace measures 1 3/8 inches wide.
This genuine Cherokee necklace has developed a great look over the decades...that just right 'broken in' patina that newer versions lack. This is in excellent vintage condition. Beautiful and authentic.
