This handmade circa 1950s Mexican cigarette box is made of solid brass with genuine stone tile inlay on the top and around the sides. The stone is a jade color which may be jade or onyx.
In the center of the lid is a large stamped brass Aztec Calendar. The inside of the box is lined in wood. The base has four curved 'legs' and is marked HECHO EN MEXICO.
The box measures 4 3/4 by 4 inches. It's 1 1/4 inches high. The brass has a warm aged patina. It's in excellent vintage condition.
