You're a bit offbeat. People refer to you as 'creative'. Your jewelry evokes conversation. It's not ho-hum ordinary, mass produce. So this Mid-Century Brutalist pendant necklace is something you'd consider.
The avant garde artist who made this piece really put the screws to it...literally. It's made with genuine screw nails. They're embedded in some kind of composition material in a large oval plaque. That sounds kind of ugly by itself but the artist must have thought of that and Juxtaposed the nails with beautiful genuine gemstones.
Large polished nuggets of Amethyst lie between the nails. In the center, there's a huge hunk of Rhodochrosite, polished to show off its inner rings. The crackle lines are inside the stone, not on the surface. It's good and solid.
The pendant measures 3 by 3 3/4 inches. A brass nut holds the 30-inch leather cord. (The cord can be changed to a chain.) The back of the pendant is painted. It's unsigned. Excellent vintage condition. Are you tough as nails to deal with the comments you're sure to get?
