What a long, lustrous beauty of a necklace. It's a twisting chain of six strands of oval mother-of-pearl beads. They're satiny white with flashing glints that only Mother Nature could create.
Then there's the carved coral floral 'star' of this show. It's a beautiful flowering rose with petals that include every shade of coral...from the palest Angel Skin pink to a deeper salmon color. Adding to the coral feast are two clusters of twisting genuine coral beads.
The necklace measures 30 inches around. There's no clasp...it goes over the head without mussing a hair. The coral rose is 3/4 inch wide by 1 1/4 inches across. The MOP chain is about 1/2 inch wide. A few of the gold-tone beads show minor age tarnish. Overall condition is excellent. This estate necklace is circa 1950s.
