One fine genuine Morenci turquoise stone. Two hand-cut feathery fans. Two raised silver beads and a ring of silver rope. This vintage Native American sterling silver cuff bracelet keeps it simple and special.
The bracelet is unsigned, circa 1970. The natural blue/green turquoise is a high-quality Morenci stone with natural matrix. Morenci has an unusual matrix of irregular black iron pyrite that, when polished, often looks like silver. Morenci was one of the first types of American turquoise to find its way to the market and it's difficult to find because the mine was depleted long ago. It's believed that the best Morenci ever produced was discovered in the late 1960s to early 70s.
This bracelet measures 1 inch wide at center. It measures 5 3/8 inches end-to-end. The opening adds another inch so the total is 6 3/8 inches around. It's a perfect fit for a 6 to 6.5 inch wrist.
The bracelet weighs 22.3 grams. It's unsigned as most from that era. It's unique and beautiful with that star quality turquoise cabochon.
