The design is strong and minimal. Crushed turquoise is inlaid around a sterling silver maze-like curve that probably represents an animal...maybe a snake or a bird.
This vintage Mexican pin can also be worn as a pendant. It measures 2 by 1 3/8 inches. It weighs 17.3 grams. The back has a secure rollover clasp.
The pre-eagle hallmark is not fully impressed so we can see only part of the artist's initials in the center. Also marked TAXCO - STERLING - MEXICO. There is some age-related wear to the turquoise surface which is visible under a magnifier and not much with the eye because the background color blends with the inlay. Overall, this mid-century pin / pendant is in very good+ condition.
