Hopefully, you'll never need a snake bite kit and even if you did, this original 1920s version would probably not be suitable for use. But as a conversation piece and early litho tin product, it's still highly collectible and a rare one to find.
This Snake Bite First Aid Pocket Packet tin/kit was made by the Davis Emergency Equipment Co. Inc. of Newark, N.J. / San Francisco, CA.
The metal tin measures 4 inches across by 2 1/2 inches wide and 1 3/8 inches deep. The inside of the lid gives you instructions for use. We're not sure if the contents are completely intact but it does look like all (or most) of it is there and unused.
This first aid kit tin is in very good vintage condition. The tin is strong and secure with a lid that snaps closed snugly. There's some wear/fading to the litho around the sides but both top and bottom are clean with no notable wear or dings. The lid color is bright. The inside of the tin is clean.
If you've been 'bitten' by the bug to collect old product tins / medicines / tin boxes, we've got your cure right here.
