1920s Art Deco French Woman Hair Advertising Display1920s Art Deco French Woman Hair Advertising Display

Old and original, this cardboard cut-out woman's head is an advertisement for "SAMSAR - le meilleur Filet pour maintenir l'ondulation." Translated, it means 'The best (hair) net to maintain undulation (waves).

And her undulating waves are indeed pure perfection, held in place by the invisible hairnet we can't see but it's there and it's 'the best'.

The Art Deco illustrated advertising display is made of cardboard. This was probably a back piece for the actual hairnets on display in front of it.

This bob-haired, wave coiffed French femme measures 9 1/4 by 13 inches. Slight bit of storage soil at bottom but overall, this is in excellent vintage condition. No creases and no hair out of place. Circa 1920s.
