This vintage Pulsar quartz ladies' watch has a black face, a gold-tone case, and a brand new battery to keep it keeping perfect time. But that attractive Pulsar watch face needed something to make it more than just a time piece.
Enter this fantastic vintage Mexican link bracelet made of solid sterling silver and 14K yellow gold. Someone with good taste saw the potential. The fine handmade bracelet band greatly enhances the beauty of the watch.
Each of the links are hand crafted, hand hammered, and hand etched by a highly skilled Mexican silversmith. The links are decorated with iconographic symbols of Mexican culture...the Aztec Calendar (Stone of the Sun), the Eagle with a snake in its mouth, an Aztec Indian, and other decorative symbols and figures. Each of these links have large etched 14k gold overlays, adding to the value and quality of the band.
The watch measures 7 1/4 inches long. It's 3/4 inch wide at the band and 1 1/4 inches across the watch face and stem. The watch weighs 53.5 grams.
The back of the band is marked with several hallmarks including... STERLING - MEXICO - 925 - 14K - and two EAGLE marks, neither of which is fully impressed so we can't identify the maker. We can tell that the quality of the piece indicates this was a well-known name in Mexican silver. The slide-in box clasp works with a strong 'snap'...very secure. The watch has been keeping perfect time since we had a new battery put in a few days ago. This is an excellent way to spend your time.
