This JONNE fiery red bracelet and earrings set was made by the House of Schrager, circa 1950s. The Jonne line of jewelry was often confused with Miriam Haskell jewelry. It was made with the same intricate beadwork, crystal rhinestone rondelles, the finest European glass beads and the best design and attention to detail.
The bracelet features cherry red glass faceted beads with unusual gilded brass spacers and rhinestone rondelles. The triple strand of beads are on a memory wire so this fits comfortably while looking so fantastic. The bracelet measures 1 3/8 inches at the widest.
The matching clip-back earrings are a cluster of the red glass beads, clear rhinestones and gilded brass beads. They measure 1 inch across. The clip-backs are secure. Each is marked JONNE. The bracelet is unmarked (most Jonne bracelets were not signed). The set is in excellent vintage condition. This great color and design would probably have made even Haskell look twice.
