When we say 'oddball', it's short for...this is different, we haven't seen one like it, it got our attention, and 'wow...we love it'. So 'oddball' is a good thing.
This vintage Modernist / Art Deco necklace is very stylized. It's made of gold-tone metal and a piece of wood (looks like teak). The design is spare...the central wood half-cylinder, a few gold-tone rods running through it, and two curved rings attached to the tube link chain.
The necklace measures 16 inches around by 3 1/2 inches long from the chain. The closure is a secure screw clasp. This was made between 1940 and 1960. It clearly straddles two eras when less was more. Excellent vintage condition.
