The only reason this old glass Czech pin has survived in such good condition is because it was warehoused since the 1920s. It's still on its original card which says NEUHEIT...which means 'novelty' in German.
This pin came out of a Queens, New York jewelry store that had been in business since the late 1800s. We bought out the family owners in 1970 when they retired. This pin has been in our warehouse since then.
It measures 1 3/4 inches across by 1 1/2 inches high. The black glass has a beveled edge and a color print profile of a pretty woman in the center. The pin back has a simple ~C~ clasp.
This is a fragile old pin but it's a classic 'Neuheit'. Made in Czechoslovakia circa 1920s.
