The Jaded Jewelry Company on New York's fashionable Madison Avenue makes art pieces that look anything but 'jaded'. Their jewelry is based on antique styles and each piece is copied from a master model using the labor-intensive “lost-wax process,” which ensures the details are true to the original.
This handcrafted pin is from the 1980s. It's made of components of bronze/brass and is finished with a generous plating of 22kt gold. This gives it the warm patina of ancient gilt jewelry which fits the Grecian motif in the center.
The pin has ~S~ scrollwork around the edge and a glass cabochon underneath that holds a tuft of green moss.
The pin measures 1 1/2 by 2 1/4 inches. It has a secure rollover clasp. The back is marked with the JADED hallmark. Pin is in excellent condition. A very fine piece of crafted jewelry.
