This original 1950s GIL HODGES black and white pin shows him wearing his ~B~ cap...for Brooklyn Dodgers. Hodges (1924 – 1972) was an American first baseman and manager in Major League Baseball who played most of his career for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers.
These portrait pins were sold in the baseball stadiums and are rare and collectible. The top of the pin is celluloid over his photo. The pin measures 1 3/4 inches across. The tin back shows normal age discoloring. The union stamp mark is there. Minimal surface wear or manufacturing flaws...nothing distracting. This rare pin is in excellent vintage condition.
