What a grand Fair it was! The 1939 - 1940 New York World's Fair was an Art Deco lover's dream with a Futuristic theme...'Dawn of a New Day'. It showed over 44 million people who attended what 'the world of tomorrow' would look like. Making their first debuts were...color photography, nylon, air conditioning, fluorescent lamps, the View-Master, Television, and Smell-O-Vision. Imagine how exciting this was to a country coming out of the Depression.
This original felt pennant is a souvenir of that glorious Fair. It measures 28 inches long (not including the 'tails') by 11 inches wide. The pennant shows the symbol of the Fair...the Trylon and Perisphere. Other exhibit buildings are shown with their Art Deco architecture.
The pennant's green background color is a bit faded but the screened graphics still hold their color. Pinholes at corners and normal age soil. Overall, condition is very good. It was a great Fair...it's a great souvenir pennant.
