This antique Chinese silver serving spoon is handmade with an ornately etched design that's actually several designs.
The wide bowl is finely engraved with veined leaf-like designs. The stem has Chinese characters at the top and then what looks like an insect (dragonfly?) and bamboo designs.
The spoon measures 5 3/8 inches long by 1 7/8 inches wide at the bowl. The spoon weighs 15.9 grams. There's a maker's hallmark on the back. We've acid-tested this for silver...it's 900. It's in excellent antique condition with no notable flaws. Looks like a perfectly-sized spoon for serving those delectable lychee nuts or other nuts or berries.
