This original 1940s WW II KEEP 'EM FLYING pin was made to keep morale high during World War II.
Pin shows the '...V_'...VICTORY Morse code symbol and of course, it's red, white and blue as is the ribbon hanging from it. Also dangling from the pin is a miniature folding pocket knife (for a tiny pocket). It was common for pin makers back then to add little charm novelties to these pins to make them more popular. Sometimes, it was an airplane or other little toy. This knife is marked CZECHO SLOVAKIA (made when Czechoslovakia was divided into separate provinces).
The pin measures 7/8 inch across. With ribbon, it's about 3 inches long. The metal knife measures 1 1/2 inches closed...2 1/2 inches open. Charm, pin and ribbon are all in excellent vintage condition. Great old wartime souvenir.
