This antique pin / pendant has an intricately made solid sterling silver frame showing a variety of wire work patterns. The center is a carved-through mother-of-pearl star. The contrast of the luminous white pearl and the dark gray aged patina of the silver is quite beautiful.
The pin measures 1 3/4 inches each way. The back has a loop for a chain and a secure rollover clasp. The clasp was obviously replaced a long time ago as the original antique one was not as secure. The pin weighs 12.3 grams. It's unmarked but has been acid-tested for sterling. It can be polished though we leave that to the buyer.
Pin is in excellent antique condition. Circa late 1800s.
