This pair of Royal Copenhagen Aluminia Faience pottery candle holders are circa 1920s. They're hand-painted in neutral colors with a petal top and foliate theme.
These are marked ~ KF ~ in a square, used 1923 - 1924 in the best quality Art Faience produced. These have the early Royal Copenhagen mark (3 waves across a stack) with DENMARK, artist's signature, and number 263/1535.
The candle holders measure 4 3/4 inches across the base by 2 1/4 inches high. These have fine overall crazing which is age appropriate and not distracting. There's a minuscule fleabite at one edge. One holder has a couple of tiny dark spots which appear to be under the glaze. These flaws are very minor and found because we were looking for them. Overall, these are in excellent vintage condition. Nice examples of decorative vintage Danish pottery...and they're functional too.
