A graceful leaping deer among the flora and fauna is the focal point of this Art Deco pin made of sterling silver with a 14K yellow gold overlay.
The cut-through window of the deer scene is very stylized. The sterling frame around the scene is set with faceted marcasite stones and raised silver bead work. The contrast of the gold overlay with the silver makes this pin all the more interesting.
The pin measures 1 3/4 inches across by 7/8 inch high. The back has the old original ~C~ clasp which could indicated this pin goes back to the Victorian era. The pin has no markings but has been acid-tested for gold and sterling. Aged patina to the silver can be polished. The gold is bright. The pin is in excellent vintage condition.
