Striking and unusual, these handmade Mexican dangle earrings are solid sterling silver with a Modernist design. The long silver dangles have repousse work against the dark oxidized background. The dangles hang from fine genuine turquoise cabochon posts (for pierced ears).
The earrings measure 7/8 inch wide by 2 3/4 inches long. The backs are signed MEXICO 925 HOB. This mark is listed in the 'Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks' by Bille Hougart.
The earrings are in excellent condition. Circa 1970s.
