Sometimes, plastic can be exciting. This vintage 1950s necklace proves that with five cascading strands of pale pinkish / lavender beads made of crackled Lucite.
They tumble down in a wide swath of alternating round crackled beads and grooved tube beads. The necklace measures 20 inches around the shortest strand and is about 4 1/2 inches wide. The large slide-in box clasp is a big round faceted prong-set cabochon.
The necklace has a big bold look, yet it's light and comfortable to wear. Excellent condition. This necklace is why we never underestimate the power of pink plastic.
