Cheers. L'chaim. Prost. Salud. Gan Bey. Proost, Tchin Tchin. Nazdrave. And then there's...'Here's looking at you kid'. There are many great ways to toast. And here's one great toasting pin from the Art Deco era.
This graceful hand holding a champagne glass is gold-plated on white metal. Both the glass and the ruffled cuff are set with pave rhinestones. The pin measures 1 inch across by 2 1/2 inches high. The back has a secure rollover clasp.
Though a few of the rhinestones are a bit darkened with age, this is a very good quality pin and we're surprised it's not signed. In fact, we thought this was vermeil on sterling but it doesn't test for it. So it's just a well-made 1930s pin with a celebratory theme. And just like there are many ways to make a toast, we found many 'toast' pins on the internet...but not this one. It's a good one, a rare one, and we'll toast to that.
