The bright red color is enough to get your attention but that gorgeous Millefiori glass centerpiece makes this old necklace even more outstanding.
We believe it's Czech but that art glass dangle surely looks like it originated in Italy. It measures 5/8 inch wide by 3 1/2 inches long with the ball that hangs below it. The linked beaded chain measures 28 inches around and there's a little Art Nouveau shaped piece that links the beads to the dangle.
The larger glass red beads vary in shades with a couple that are two-tone red. The spring ring clasp looks like a replacement. The only other thing we notice is that the necklace metal is both gold-tone and silver-tone, not unusual since various components came together to create this. Circa 1930s. Excellent vintage condition.
Note - It was too long to hang on our manikin head so we had to wrap it around twice.
