This cameo girl has a very old Victorian look in black molded composition on black glass. Fashioned after mourning pins of the mid-to-late 1800s, this pin was probably made circa 1930s.
The cameo lady sits in a silver-tone bezel with a twist of silver 'rope' around her. The silver-tone plaque she's on has a hand-hammered look with silver-tone foliage overlay.
The pin measures 2 1/4 inches across. There's a secure rollover clasp on the back. In the photo, the metal around her looks tarnished but it's not. Pin is overall in excellent condition. It's nice and big and looks as good as any period piece.
