You're not the ho-hum jewelry type so this vintage necklace might pique your penchant for the 'spectacular'. And that it is, with a face pendant in the center that's bejeweled to beguile.
The pretty face is made of flesh-tone pottery. Her eyes are closed. She's meditative and peaceful. Her hat or headpiece includes faux pearls, gold-tone beads, rhinestones, and a gold-tone 'wrap' around it all. It all has a Theda Bara Victorian theater look about it. Great opulence. High drama. The face measures 2 1/2 inches across by 2 1/2 inches high. It centers on a black enamel and gold-tone linked band that's articulated so that it sits around the neck in a perfect circle.
The necklace measures 16 inches around. The band is 1/2 inch wide. The back is a bright gold-tone with interesting texture. The clasp is a secure foldover. The necklace is unmarked. It's circa 1970s. Excellent condition.
