This large heavy sterling silver flower pin has the high quality design and craftsmanship of the pieces made by Adolph Katz for Coro and Alfred Philippe for Trifari. We found very similar patent designs by them but not this exact one. This is marked STERLING, with no maker's name.
The pin is a hefty one, made of solid sterling with a gold vermeil wash over the ribbon accents. The flower is set with pear-shaped faux emerald rhinestones and small round faux diamond rhinestones.
The pin measures 1 3/4 by 3 1/4 inches. It weighs 39.5 grams. Very negligible age-related wear...nothing notable. Overall, this fabulous 1930s pin is in excellent condition. It's an intricate design with a great Art Deco flourish.
