It has a bold substantial look and all the craftsmanship and design skills of Taxco silversmiths. This vintage Mexican sterling silver necklace came from Laton, a retailer who once sold Mexico's finest silver wares and jewelry.
This thick sterling necklace has wide links that are wrapped in double rows of brass wire. It measures 18 inches long by 3/8 inch wide. The necklace weighs a hefty 50 grams.
The secure slide-in box clasp is marked 925 - TA-106? - MEXICO. The end link is marked LATON. The necklace is circa 1960s. Just a light buff with natural patina. It's in excellent condition.
