The majority of you will see this and go running for the hills. The rest of you will be intrigued because you've never seen a ring like this...and probably won't ever again.
It's old and big and eccentric. It's Mid-Century with a Brutalist abstract, anything-goes design. It's made of solid sterling silver. It's unmarked so we acid-tested this in several places to confirm what we could see is old tarnished solid silver.
The ring size is 8.5. The top of the ring measures 2 inches by 7/8 inch. The ring weighs 30 grams...quite the hefty finger bauble. It's also quite the conversation piece.
We've left it unpolished, fresh from an estate of artistic collectors. It's in excellent condition. As one friend who saw this said 'This belongs in a museum.' But museum pieces are behind glass. This ring belongs on a daring finger.
