Oh yes, this is a good one. A big one. And it's very substantial in both looks and weight...145 grams!
This Taxco collar necklace is handwrought in a curving band of thick solid sterling silver. The center has a triangle with a raised round disk of black onyx. That's it. Simple. Very elegant. Very modernist. Very timeless.
The necklace has an opening of 3 inches. If your neck measures no more than 14 inches around, you can slip this on. Since the silver is too solid to bend, a larger neck won't fit. Once it's on, it lays perfectly and comfortably.
The collar is marked...MEXICO TZ-105 - 925. (In our reference book of Mexican silver trade and hallmarks, this hallmark is attributed to Taxco silversmith 'Zagal').
There are very minimal surface scuffs to the silver and onyx when tilted to strong light. This is in keeping with age/wear. It's very minor but we mention it for accuracy. Overall condition is excellent.
