This is a fantastic mid-century Mexican face pin or pendant made of solid sterling silver. The Aztec features are detailed and artistically finished with wire work and overlay. There's a dangling nose ring on the face.
This can be worn as a pin or a pendant as it has both a secure rollover clasp and a loop for a chain. It measures 1 5/8 by 1 3/4 inches. It weighs 11.2 grams.
The back is marked HECHO EN MEXICO - STERLING 925 H?. There's an Eagle 28 trademark and only three designers used that mark, one of whom was Bernice Goodspeed. The others were JFCM and RAF. This pin is a quality piece. It has an overall tarnished patina that we did not polish as some collectors prefer these as found. It appears that this was never worn. It's in excellent condition.
