It's enough to make you gasp with awe. This magnificent estate pin even impressed our jeweler and an independent appraiser.
With a total weight of 2.38 carats of genuine diamonds, this pin has a brilliant sparkle. The diamonds are shown to their utmost dazzle in the platinum setting which is a flowing scroll filigree design with a milgrain edge finish. It's classic 1920s Art Deco.
The pin measures 2 7/8 inches long by 5/8 inch wide at center. The fifteen old European cut diamonds include... One center prong set diamond, measuring 5.10 - 5.20 x 3.28mm (depth est.). Approximate weight is 0.53ct. Clarity of SI-2, color of I - J. Cut is very good.
Two bezel set diamonds, measuring 4.50 - 4.50 x 2.79mm. Approximate weight of 2 stones is 0.69ct. Clarity of SI-2, color of J - K. Cut is very good.
Eight bead set diamonds with approximate total weight of 1.04ct. Clarity of SI-1, color of H - I. Cut is good.
Four bead set diamonds with approximate total weight of 0.12ct. Clarity of VS-2, color of G - H. Cut is good.
There are also ten channel set caliber cut modified brilliant cut synthetic blue sapphires. Approximate total weight is 0.28ct. Clarity is eye clean. Type II, medium dark, strong blue color. (GIA B 6/5). Cut is good.
The entire pin is solid platinum except for the safety clasp pin which is marked 18K and has been acid-tested to confirm. The pin weighs 6.9 pennyweights or 10.7 grams. It's in pristine condition. It comes with a recent independent jeweler's appraisal replacement value of $6,800.
